Nagaland: 79 fresh COVID-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): The state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) bulletin on Saturday reported 79 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the cumulative tally of infections in Nagaland to 29,920.

As many as 66 people were discharged from hospitals post-recovery in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 27,601. The COVID-19 death toll remained at 600 on Saturday, besides 14 other deaths that were classified as ‘Non COVID deaths (with COVID positivity)’ in the bulletin.

Out of the new cases, Dimapur reported the highest number of cases with 43, Kohima (24), Tuensang (4), Phek (3), Wokha (2), and 1 case each from Mokokchung, Mon and Zunheboto.

As on August 28, there are 828 active COVID-19 cases in the state out of which 648 are asymptomatic, 140 are mild symptomatic, 15 are moderate on oxygen, 11 are severe on oxygen, 7 are in ICU without ventilators and 7 are on ventilators, the IDSP informed.
