Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Adventures Club (NAC) organized a ‘Weekend Getaway’ to Mt Kapamodzu, Glory Peak under Phek district, Chida Lake bordering with Nagaland and Manipur in the ancestral Khezhakeno village on August 22.
The purpose of the trip was to promote eco-rural and eco-friendly tourism between the need to conserve natural resources, cultural heritage and social equilibrium of the tourism destination in the rural areas for sustainability.
Mt Kapamodzu gives a stupendous view of the entire Saramati range in the east, Japfü peak in the south, apart from Kohima and several other villages of both Nagaland and Manipur.
The Club expressed hope that everyone will grow closer to nature and spread the awareness for a better greener future, to truly protect the environment and minimize pollution. The team used reusable/ waste free tools during the trip.
