The Nagaland Appropriation (No. 1) Bill, 2024 was passed on the floor of the House today.
The Bill was moved by Chief Minister and minister in charge of finance Neiphiu Rio.
The Bill authorized withdrawal of 3308,90,27,000 (Rupees three thousand three hundred eight crore ninety lakh twenty seven thousand only) from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Nagaland for Appropriation.
Government bills on “The Nagaland Salaries, Allowances & other Facilities of the Chief Minister, Speaker, Deputy Chief Minister/ Ministers, Leader of Opposition, Deputy Speaker and other Members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and Pension for Ex-Members (Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2024” moved by parliamentary affairs minister KG Kenye has been passed in the assembly session.
The NLA also passed The Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Eight Amendment) Bill, 2023, which was moved by Chief Minister.
The Session also passed government resolution “Repeal of the public debt 1944 and amendment of Government Securities Act 2006.
The Government Bill for Establishment of Private University Bill, 2024 was withdrawn today.
Higher education minister Temjen Imna Along moved the motion for withdrawal of Bill, which was introduced on February 27.
