Nagaland athletes head to Guwahati for NE Pencak Silat Championship

KOHIMA, JULY 12 (MExN): Sixty athletes from the Nagaland Pencak Silat Association have departed for Guwahati to participate in the 6th North East Pencak Silat Championship 2024. The championship, scheduled from July 12 to 14, will be held at the Sarusajai Indoor Stadium in Guwahati, Assam.

The athletes will compete in various combat and artistic events, spanning sub-junior, junior, and senior divisions for both male and female categories. Leading the team are President Khevishe Sema, Vice-President Hetoi Sema, General Secretary and Head Coach Deep Kumar, and Assistant Coach Tiayanger Imsong. Organized by the Assam Pencak Silat Association, the event is held under the aegis of the North East Pencak Silat Federation and the Indian Pencak Silat Federation. Medal winners from this championship will go on to represent their state in the forthcoming inter-zonal National Pencak Silat Championship 2024.
