Nagaland Cong to dig into teachers scam

Dimapur, May 8 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today assured that the party will “dig out” the ‘crime adopted or committed’ in the process of recruiting teachers in the State. No erring member or officer will go scot-free or unpunished, the Congress said in a note received here today.

The NPCC’s executive committee met on May 8 and held thorough deliberations on the ongoing recruitment process for teachers in the State. The Congress has cautioned the education departments from indulging in or yielding to unfair means and political pressures while selecting candidates.

“Sooner or later the crime adopted or committed will be dug out and exposed and the party will leave no stone unturned to bring justice in order to protect the interest of the deserving youth,” the NPCC stated in the note issued by NPCC general secretary Vaprumu Demo. When education and competition are making rapid strides in Nagaland, the future of the upcoming youth cannot be sacrificed at the altar of senseless materialism and manipulation, the Congress says.

The party reminded that serious concern over the recruitment drive has been raised by different peoples and sections of the society for long now. Unless the authority adheres to the rules of merit, no defaulting member or officer will go scot-free or unpunished, the NPCC added.
