Nagaland conservatory of music to tour Norway

Nagaland Conservatory of Music led by Lipokmar Tzudir and James Shikiye Swu will tour Norway for a series of performances, lectures and workshops in conjunction to a Cross-Cultural Music Festival organised by Himalaya More and Kultur-Mix group.

The Festival will witness choirs from the Nordic region, Nepal and Nagaland with an aim to promote and cultivate artistic and cultural appreciations besides exchange of expertise. Besides participating in the festival, they will perform a series of concerts in universities and churches along Oslo area.

Artists from Norway and Nagaland have developed a keen working relations since 2010 under the aegis of Rikskonsertene, Kultur-mix group and Nagaland State government, who have also been highly instrumental in the establishment of Nagaland Conservatory of Music.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland Conservatory of Music was inaugurated by Neiphiu Rio, the Chief Minister of Nagaland in 2012 and has since lived up to its growing expectations.  

NCM is the premiere music academy of Nagaland Music Education and Arts Society that offers a full fledged Bachelor of Music degree program with an intensive and comprehensive training in the practical and theoretical areas of music, and a unique balance of technical and musical skills.
