Nagaland contractors decide to launch stir

Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): Contractors and supplier in Nagaland have decided to launching agitations August 10 across the State as the issue of overdue pending bills owned by the government intensifies. The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) met on August 7 with all its district units and took a number of decisions.

The NCSU has rejected the July 10 decision of the Nagaland State Cabinet and said that the 20-days ultimatum served to the Nagaland government is to expire on August 9.

“The house resolved to stage agitation w.e.f 10th August 2012 in all the district headquarters. The house resolved that till our demand will be fulfill by the government there shall not be any compromise at any cost,” the union said in a note receive here today. All the union’s district units are directed to ‘prepare for any eventualities’ to start the agitation ‘to fight for justice.’ The union also appealed to all to cooperate with the union and “the inconveniences is regretted till the agitation process is completed.”
