Nagaland COVID-19: 12 more recover, 8 new cases

Twelve more people recovered from COVID-19 in Nagaland according to the official State data, while eight new cases were detected in the State on June 25. 


Meanwhile, there were 6 cases which are awaiting confirmatory tests (one in Mon and five in Tuensang). All six had tested positive in their TrueNat tests. The one case from Mon was a police personnel on quarantine duty and the five cases from Tuensang were from a Quarantine Centre.


As per data released by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of positive cases in the State stands at 355. Out of this, the total active cases are 195, and 160 have recovered. All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. As per the severity of symptoms, all the 195 active cases are asymptomatic.


With regard to the confusion over the daily State count tally on June 24, an official from the Health Department informed that 12 out of the 15 COVID-19 positive army personnel at Jakhama cantonment were included in the official State tally from the Department of Health and Family Welfare. 


It may however be noted that the same official had confirmed on June 24 evening and June 25 morning that the said 12 cases were not included in the State tally for June 24.
