Nagaland cricket announces Ranji Trophy 2021-22 squad

The Nagaland Cricket Association Senior Men’s Cricket team for Ranji Trophy 2021-22.

Dimapur, February 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) today declared the Senior Men’s Cricket team for the upcoming Ranji Trophy, the premier domestic first-class cricket test championship in India.   

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has earlier announced that the trophy will begin on February 17

A press release from the NCA informed that the Nagaland team will be lead by Jonathan Rongsen as Captain and Hokaito Zhimomi as Vice-Captain.

There are three professional guest players including regular Shrikant Mundhe, Abu Nechim Ahmed and Chetan Bisht.

Khrievitso Kense and Tahmeed Rahman from the Nagaland U-19 team are also included in the squad. 

Former Hyderabad cricketer Kanwaljit Singh was retained as the team coach while Nehal Ahmad will assist him as assistant coach and team manager. 

Meanwhile, Nagaland will kick-off its campaign with the first match against Sikkim from February 17-20.

The second match is scheduled from February 24-27 against Arunachal Pradesh while the team final group match is against Mizoram from March 3-6.

All the matches will be played at Kolkata.
