Nagaland CS urged to serve without fear and favour

Kohima, August 30 (MExN): A delegation from the Ao Lanur Telongjem (ALT) officials from Mokokchung, Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Medziphema, called on Nagaland Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen at his official residence here on Saturday. 

The delegation was led by its Convener Imnaonen Pongen and Co-convener Tia Longchar, stated a press release.

During a short felicitation programme, Pongen stated that the Chief Secretary's achievement in attaining the highest bureaucratic office would serve as a great inspiration for future generations. He urged the Chief Secretary to continue his service to the Naga people “without fear and favour” so that the whole of Nagaland would benefit through his astute service. The Convener also, on behalf of the ALT, presented a canvas printing of Mokokchung. 

Chief Secretary Sentiyanger expressed gratitude for the courtesy call and assured the delegation he would do his best for Nagaland as a representative of the State Government. He also solicited support from all sections of society to achieve all-round development for the state.

Others who spoke at the event included ALT Treasurer Imkongmar Imchen and advisors Imtiakum and Anungba Sanglir, who shared their views and aspirations for Ao youth in society.
