Nagaland delegates attend short course on ‘Strategic Planning’

Dimapur, June 18 (MExN): A three member team of Planning & Coordination Department led by Neiba Kronu, Deputy Chairman State Planning Board Nagaland with Mhonbemo Patton, Commissioner and Secretary, Planning and Temsuwati, Additional Development Commissioner attended a short course on ‘Strategic Planning’, at the University of Auckland, Business School, New Zealand on June 11 and 12. Representatives from leading New Zealand and Multinational Companies, Government Organizations and International participants took part in the course.

The team also had a meeting with Professor Jilnaught Wong, Deputy Dean and Director of Graduate School of Enterprise, University of Auckland and later with Christine Berry, Deputy Director, International Office and her team. The discussions were mainly on the opportunities for our Students to study in Medicine and other professional courses. University of Auckland, is the largest University in New Zealand with 40,977 students from more than 90 countries. Many of their Schools are Rank within top 70 in the World. They have agreed to visit Nagaland when they comes scouting for students to India.

The team later made field visits to Agrodome Sheep Show, Te Puia, the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, Rotorua and the University of Waikato, Hamilton. This was stated in a press release issued by ADC, Government of Nagaland Temsuwati.
