Nagaland DoSE announces RIMC entrance for 2026 term

Kohima, August 20 (MExN): The Nagaland Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has announced that the entrance examination for admission to class VIII at the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) in Dehradun for the July 2026 term will be held on December 7, 2025.

According to a press release, the entrance test is open to both male and female candidates. Applicants must be between 11 and a half, and 13 years of age as on July 1, 2026, i.e. their date of birth must not be before July 2, 2013, or after January 1, 2015.

Eligible candidates must either be currently studying in Class VII or have passed the Class VII examination from a recognised school by the time of admission in July 2026.

The written examination will comprise three papers to be conducted on December 7. The Mathematics paper is scheduled from 0930 hrs to 1100 hrs, the General Knowledge paper from 1200 hrs to 1300 hrs, and the English paper from 1430 hrs to 1630 hrs.
The date for the interview will be intimated at a later date only for those candidates who qualify in the written exam, it added. 

The prospectus and application form, along with a booklet of previous years' question papers, can be obtained either through online payment on a dedicated portal or via speed post by sending a self-addressed slip and a demand draft of Rs 600 for general candidates or Rs 555 for SC/ST candidates.

The demand draft should be drawn in favour of “The Commandant, RIMC Fund” and be payable at HDFC bank, Ballupur Chowk Branch, Dehradun (bank code -1399).

The completed application, along with required documents including two passport size photographs, domicile certificate, aadhar card photocopy (both sides), Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation, ST/SC Certificate and original Certificate from the Principal of the current school with photograph attested stating the date of birth and class in which the candidate is studying should be submitted to the Directorate of School Education by October 15, 2025.
