Kohima, August 15 (MExN): In a significant move to enhance law enforcement capabilities and public service delivery in the Kiphire district, Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister (Home & Border Affairs) Yanthungo Patton inaugurated the Office of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Ex-Officio) at Pungro on August 15.
The newly established facility is expected to strengthen policing infrastructure, improve coordination among law enforcement agencies, and ensure swift, accessible, and efficient responses to public needs.
Speaking on the occasion, Patton commended the collective efforts of all stakeholders in making the project a reality, stressing that the office would greatly benefit the people of the district by ensuring law and order, security, and public trust.
On the sidelines of the inauguration, he also attended a public meeting in Pungro, where he engaged with local stakeholders and listened to their concerns and suggestions.
The event was also graced by S. Kiusumew Yimchunger, MLA & Advisor, Home Guard & Civil Defence, Fire & Emergency Services, Relief & Rehabilitation, Govt. of Nagaland, as the Guest of Honour.
