Kohima, August 16 (MExN): Four awardees for Governor’s Award 2020 in the field of Arts and Music were announced on August 15:

The Governor’s Award distribution ceremony will be taken up on January 26, 2021 (Republic Day), according to a DIPR report.

Meanwhile, the Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima (GPPK) on behalf of the Gorkha Community of Kohima congratulated Buddhi Bahadur Thapa, a senior member of the Panchayat for being conferred with the Governor’s Award 2020 in the field of Art.
The Panchayat in its press statement also thanked the Government of Nagaland for recognizing Thapa’s works and wished him success in his future endeavours.
In a separate statement, the Nagaland Gorkha Association (NGA) also congratulated artist Buddhi Bahadur Thapa, on being conferred the prestigious Governor’s Award on the occassion of the 74th Independence Day.
Buddhi Thapa is also the founder member of the Nagaland Arts Society, the NGA said.
The Association expressed gratitude to the Governor RN Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, and TAFMA for picking a member of its community for the prestigious award.
