Kohima, July 31 (MExN): The Nagaland Governor on the occasion Tsüngremong festival extended warm wishes to the people of Nagaland and the Ao community in particular.
“Tsüngremong, which is celebrated to mark the end of a bountiful harvest, is a festival of dancing, singing and celebration. It is also a time to give thanks to the Almighty for all His unwavering love and blessings,” Ravi stated in a message.
“In the backdrop of COVID-19 situation, let us celebrate it this year with the needed precautions,” he stated.
“On this auspicious occasion, I call on the Ao community to rededicate oneself with renewed vigour to the peace, progress and prosperity of the State. I also call upon out youth to take active interest in safeguarding and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas inherently reflected in such festivals,” the Governor stated.
He also prayed “May Tsüngremong bring happiness and prosperity to our people and strengthen the bonds of inter-tribe brotherhood.”
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio on the occasion of Tsüngremong festival also extended greetings to the Ao community of Nagaland. “I pray for your happiness, well-being and wish you a bountiful harvest. I look forward to celebrating with you in the days to come,” the CM posted in Twitter.
