Nagaland Government School Students Meritorious Award (NGSSMA): Five things to know

1. CHANGES OF NAME: The School Education Department, Government of Nagaland has changed the Implementing pattern of Children Education Assistance Fund (CEAF) to Government School Students Meritorious Award (NGSSMA) from current academic year.  

2. CHANGES IN SELECTION PATTERN: Given to merit students studying in Govt. Schools in on the basis of two stages competitive Examination, the Award will now be given on the basis of three levels of final Examinations. The deserving selected students will be given cash award for onetime payment.  

3. PSLCE AWARD: The Primary School leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE) award will be given to top ten (10) students within the jurisdiction of each Sub-Divisional Education Officer (SDEO) Block. Each student will be given the cash award of Rs.5000.  

4. ESLCE AWARD: The Elementary School Leaving Certificate Examination (ESLCE) award will be given to top five (5) students within the each District Education Officer jurisdiction based on the final Examination conducted by the SCERT. Each students will be given the cash award of Rs.10000.  

5. HSLC AWARD: The High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) award will be given to the top three (3) students among the Govt. Schools who secured first, second and the third position within the state based on the examination conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). The cash award will be given @ Rs.30000 for 1st position, Rs.20000 for second position and Rs.10000 for third position respectively.
