Dimapur, November 5 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, today attended the Durga Puja Vijaya Sammelan-Cum-Award at Durga Puja Premises, Old Daily Market, Dimapur.

On the occasion, he observed that festive times are a testament to the vibrant and deeply rooted cultural heritage and spiritual beliefs that form the fabric of society. 

Stating that this year's celebrations have indeed been remarkable, shining a light on creativity, innovation, and devotion, he noted that the Vijay Sammelan gathering was not just to award the best efforts but to honour the spirit of commitment and dedication towards preserving our culture and values.

According to a DIPR report, he also lauded all the committee representatives for their devotion and hard work and for making every Puja Pandal a unique masterpiece.

"Whether it is for the best idol, the most disciplined pandal, the best performing idol immersion, or the best music played, every nomination, every achievement is a victory worthy of praise and admiration," Ganesan maintained.

He congratulated everyone for their contribution and participation, irrespective of whether they won or not. This tradition is not only about artistic and musical excellence but also about promoting unity, respect, and tolerance in our diverse society, he added.

The first place for Vijay Sammelan-cum-Award was secured by Nepali Bosti, Durga Puja Community, while K Kevi Colony and PWD Complex won the second and third prizes, respectively.
