Nagaland Governor stresses effective implementation, outreach in IDAN review

Kohima, July 7 (MExN): Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on Tuesday stressed the need for effective implementation of programmes, greater outreach to entrepreneurs and youth, and sustained efforts to attract investment while ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth across the State.

Chairing a review meeting of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) at Lok Bhavan, the Governor emphasised the importance of improving the ease of doing business, creating sustainable employment opportunities and strengthening coordination among stakeholders to accelerate Nagaland's socio-economic development.

During the meeting, IDAN officials presented an overview of the Authority's activities across its key functional areas, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), investment promotion, the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM), Swavalamban Connect Kendra (SCK), the Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (IPFC), policy research and human resource development.

 

The presentation also highlighted recent achievements, ongoing programmes, key challenges and IDAN's roadmap for strengthening investment facilitation and economic development in the State.

A press release from the PRO Lok Bhavan stated that the Governor reviewed the progress made under various initiatives and appreciated IDAN's efforts in promoting investment, entrepreneurship, skill development and innovation in Nagaland.

The meeting concluded with discussions on strategies to address existing challenges and further strengthen IDAN's role in advancing the State's investment and development agenda, it added.
