Kohima, April 23 (MExN): In a minor reshuffle of portfolios, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Saturday reassigned NDPP MLA H Chuba Chang as the Advisor for the Department of Roads & Bridges while relieving him from the Departments of Law & Justice and SCERT.
The move which has raised speculations about the relation between the NDPP and BJP comes months ahead of the state elections due next year.
The Roads and Bridges Department was formerly assigned to Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton who is also the Home Minister.
A notification issued by the state Chief Secretary J Alam on Saturday informed that the State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) has now been assigned to Advisor KT Sukhalu in addition to School Education department.
