Yachem EAC office building inaugurated
Longleng, April 26 (MExN): The Yachem EAC office building was formally inaugurated by Advisor, CAWD & NSDMA, Kazheto Kinimi on April 25.
Advisor Kazheto Kinimi asserted that government office buildings are people’s property and therefore, it is the equal responsibility of both the public and the government to protect and care for it. He was optimistic that the people will make better use of it and strengthen the hands of the government for better governance. Kazheto said that the office building would not only benefit Longleng district alone but also the entire state of Nagaland by strengthening the administrative infrastructure development.
Minister for H&FW Pangnyu Phom informed that furniture for EAC office Yachem was contributed by the five villages of Yachem Circle and urged other administrative headquarters to follow the suit. Clarifying that post creation was not done in any of the newly established EAC post in the state since 2005 and majority of them do not have new office building, he asserted that Yachem is fortunate to have a new office building.
Advisor I&PR and Village Guard, S Keoshu Yimkhiung emphasized on Clean Election to elect experience and qualified leaders for growth and progress of our state in various sectors. He asserted that will of the people is supreme for growth and development of any nation but not by selling their rights during election and blame the politicians for lack of development. He urged the people to choose a capable leader who would address welfare needs and deliver social justice.
Deputy Speaker, T Yangseo Sangtam said that development of district and constituency reflects the representative of a strong visionary leaders and called upon the people to acknowledge the good works done by the elected representative for development of all.
MLA CL John informed that United Democratic Alliance was formed in the state not for monetary benefits of the elected members but to pave way to find permanent solution to the Naga Political issues and development thereafter. Affirming that s”olution couldn't be achieved due to disunity among the Naga Political groups,” John appealed to the public, NGOs, Civil Societies and Churches to “raise their voice at their respective platform for unity of various Political factions to come to a common negotiation table for acceptable solution for all.”
Deputy Commissioner, M. Shayung Phom extended gratitude to the government for allocation of fund for the office building after 10 years of its establishment. In order to ensure all-round development of the administrative headquarter the DC suggested for posting of independent administrative officer and creation of post at Yachem. Informing total allotment of land for the administrative headquarter Shayung appealed to the people not to encroach government land but to have ownership of government’s properties.
PPC President Shami Angh and Contractor H Meren also delivered short speeches. Technical report was presented by Er Sungtiba Amer, EE, CAWD Nagaland. Invocation and welcome address were proposed by Rev TI Lakpa, Pastor Noksosang village and Longnyu Dobashi Yachem Circle respectively. Dedicatory prayer was done by Rev M Adao Pastor Yachem Baptist Church.
