Projects for which land was acquired. A total of Rs 12.48 crore was utilized for acquiring 88.07 acres of land for various developmental works in Nagaland during 2019-20.

Rs. 12.48 Crores was utilized for acquiring 88.07 acres of land for various developmental works in Nagaland during 2019-20.


This was stated in the Annual Administrative Report 2019-20 of the Planning and Coordination Department tabled at the NLA today by Planning and Coordination Minister, Neiba Kronu.


“Government has no land of its own and in order to accelerate the pace of developmental activities Government has to acquire private land. During the financial year 2019-20, an amount of Rs. 1450 lakh was made available under Land Compensation and an amount of Rs. 1248.74 lakh was utilized for acquiring 88.07 acres of land for various developmental works,” the report stated. 


It added that the remaining balance amount of Rs. 200.25 lakh is also expected to be fully utilized.

•    Polytechnic in Kiphire
•    Polytechnic Institute in Renbo Li Tongti near Chubi Bridge, Wokha 
•    Superintendent of Supply Office Kiphire 
•    640 MT capacity godown in Kiphire, Phek, Wokha & Zunheboto 
•    Re-alignment of NH-39 near KMC Dumping site below Jotsoma village 
•    Vehicle Inspection and Certification Centre in Chümoukedima village
•    Rental Housing for Urban Poor in Chümoukedima
•    Mokokchung College of Teachers' Education (MCTE) site extension
•    Regional Emergency Management Training Centre in Chiechama 
•    3 NAP Platoon Post in Mangkolemba
•    Purchase of building for SDEO Kiphire
