Nagaland Hotels warn against immoral activities

DIMAPUR, JUNE 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Hotels and Restaurant Association (NHRA) has issued a general information to all its registered members and also the general public that as per the rules and regulations laid down in the NHRA Constitution, Article – VI, clause ‘C’ the Association shall take strict disciplinary actions against any member indulging/encouraging any immoral activities within their premises. 

All concerned members (Applicable only for lodging) are also directed to strictly adhere to the following rules and regulations with immediate effect, informed a press note issued by Mr Welhipe Khape, Working President, NHRA and Mrs. Ritika Mehta, Secretary, NHRA.

The NHRA has informed that proof of identity of any Customers/Visitors checking in should be obtained properly and verified and a photo copy of the same should be kept for record as per the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Order No. CON/L&O/2000 Dt.13/01/2009. Members not owning Xerox Machine at their reception counter should immediately install the same. 

Further, any “Guests/Customers during check procedure, if cordially signed on the Hotel Entry & Declaration Card/Register, declaring themselves that they are husband and wife (Legal spouse), then the customer has every rights to check in the Hotel in the eyes of the Management”. Thereafter, the NHRA stated that the Hotel shall not bear any risk or responsibilities, should any problems crop up from any concerned authorities during Checking/Raids because of any immoral conduct that occurred in a room due to any of their false claims. In such case, the Culprit party shall be the customer alone, the NHRA stated. 

Also in order to avoid any untoward incident the management is requested to abide with the NHRA and maintain proper I.D proof of the Customers/Visitors.

While appreciating the National Workers in checking hotels  such as  immoral activities and evil social elements from time to time the NHRA requested them to maintain decorum while performing their noble duties so that genuine customers and visitors are not disturbed.
