Kohima, May 30 (MExN): A total of 15680 candidates out of 22392 cleared the HSLC Examination 2020 for a pass percentage of 70.03%.
The results of the High School Leaving Certificate exams held in February was declared by the Nagaland Board of School Education on May 30.
Abhi Chakraborty of Holy Cross Hr.Sec.School,Dimapur was topped the first twenty merit list with 98.33% while Palak Biad of Don Bosco Hr Sec School Kohima came second with 97.17%. Imlibenla Jamir of Fernwood School with 96.67% was third on the merit list.
The girls have again done better with 8470 girls qualifying and 7210 boys qualifying the examination. In the Top 20 list, there are 55 candidates out of which 16 are boys and the rest i.e. 39 are girls, NBSE said in a statement.
96 schools secured 100% qualified/pass percentage. Out of 96, 83 are private schools and 13 are government schools. This year, 34 schools have zero/nil result out of which 30 are government schools and 4 private schools, it added.
