NGISRSC inks MoU with Droneverse Aviation Pvt Ltd
Kohima, March 18 (MExN): Aiming to strengthen the emerging drone ecosystem and expand skill-based opportunities, the Nagaland GIS & Remote Sensing Centre (NGISRSC) on March 17 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Droneverse Aviation Pvt. Ltd. at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.
The MoU was formalised in the presence of Temsünaro Aier, Development Commissioner of the Planning & Transformation Department, Nagaland.
Describing the collaboration as a strategic step forward, Droneverse Aviation Pvt. Ltd. CEO Pawan Khatri said the partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing the State’s drone ecosystem.
He noted that the initiative reflects a shared commitment towards capacity building, innovation, and the adoption of emerging technologies.
As a DIPR report, under the MoU, both organisations will jointly roll out Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)-compliant as well as non-DGCA drone training programmes.
The courses will be conducted by certified instructors from both sides, with a focus on maintaining national standards and aligning with industry requirements.
The collaboration will focus on knowledge exchange, expert engagement, and joint research and development initiatives, including work on advanced and AI-enabled drone applications, the report noted.
Droneverse Aviation Pvt. Ltd. will act as the key industry partner, providing technical expertise, industry linkage, and placement support for trained candidates.
The partnership is expected to enhance employment opportunities and foster entrepreneurship among the youth of Nagaland, it added.
