Nagaland mandates APB for all DBT-SPARSH schemes

Kohima, April 20 (MExN): The Finance Department (DBT Cell) of Nagaland has mandated that all benefit transfers under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)-SPARSH schemes be routed exclusively through the Aadhaar Payment Bridge (APB) system with immediate effect.

In a notification issued in pursuance of a letter from the Government of India’s Ministry of Finance (F. No. 44(1)/PF-S/2026-27 (CAPEX) dated March 27, 2026), the department stated that no alternative payment modes will be permitted.

The directive comes as a continuation of the department’s earlier notification bearing the same number dated March 6, 2026. All implementing agencies shall take necessary steps to align their processes, systems, and databases to ensure full compliance with this directive, it stated.

It cautioned, “No alternative modes of payment shall be permitted henceforth, and all implementing agencies shall take necessary steps to align their processes, systems, and databases to ensure full compliance with this directive.”
