
Kohima, October 8 (MExN): The Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has notified all Allopathic Registered Medical Practitioners in the State that they are required to renew their registration promptly upon expiry.
The licence granted is valid for a period of five years, and it is mandatory for all doctors, including those serving under the State or Central Government, to maintain updated registration, it stated.
These requirements are in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Nagaland Medical Council Act, 2014 and the National Medical Commission Registered Medical Practitioners (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 2023, it added.
Further, the NMC reminded all clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals to ensure that all allopathic doctors employed within their facilities possess valid registration.
Practitioners coming from other States are also required to have their registration and qualifications verified by the NMC, it added.
