Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): Supongmeren Jamir, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Nagaland, called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his office on March 25.
During the meeting, they discussed the need for an early and inclusive political settlement to the long-pending Naga political issue, highlighting the aspirations of the Naga people and the importance of a peaceful and honourable solution.
Jamir also raised concerns over the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and urged the ministry to consider the views of people, particularly those living in border areas of Nagaland.
Issues related to the development and upgradation of village guards were also discussed.
The MP expressed hope for constructive action and reaffirmed his commitment to advocate for the rights and welfare of the Naga people.
