Nagaland MPs chair BSNL Telecom Advisory Committee meeting

Kohima, August 28 (MExN): Nagaland’s Members of Parliament, Rajya Sabha S Phangnon Konyak and Lok Sabha S  Supongmeren Jamir, jointly chaired a meeting of the Telecom Advisory Committee (TAC) of BSNL Nagaland Business Area in Dimapur today.

Addressing the meeting, Konyak underlined BSNL’s crucial role as an enduring partner in India’s digital growth, noting its continued contribution in providing connectivity even to government offices. 

She stressed that quality telecom services must not be limited to towns and cities but must also reach villages with equal focus and fairness.

Jamir, meanwhile, called for regular reviews of BSNL’s infrastructure and connectivity in the state. He urged officials of the public sector undertaking to ensure balanced and equitable network coverage across all regions of Nagaland.

Both MPs reaffirmed BSNL’s vital role in delivering reliable and affordable telecom infrastructure, terming it essential for Nagaland’s overall development and digital inclusion, informed a press release from the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee.
