Gov extends Vishwakarma greetings
Kohima, September 16 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya has extended greetings on the occasion of Vishwakarma to the people of Nagaland. In a greeting message from his PRO, he stated that “Vishwakarma is known as the devine engineer and main architect of the universe. He is worshipped by the engineering community and professionals too. Workforce in the offices and workshops worship their instruments and tools which are used in their profession in front of Lord Vishwakarma.” Vishwakarma Day is mostly celebrated with complete enthusiasm in offices, workshop and factories in the industrial areas. Governor Acharya hopes that Vishwakarma Puja will inspire all to work for the unity and well being of the country and to strengthen the moral foundation of the society.
NSCN (IM) mourn demise of members
Dimapur, September 16 (MExN): NSCN (IM) has expressed pain and grief over the demise of two senior members on September 15. Ng Koningam, Executive Member, Steering Committee (Khurmi Region) who joined the national service on January 15, 1985 and Toshalie Kemp, Member, Steering Committee (Rengma Region) who joined the National Service on the June 4, 1994. According to an MIP, both the leaders served the nation selflessly and whole-heartedly in various capacities until their demise. “Their contribution to the Naga cause shall be honored and cherished by all,” the MIP stated. It also conveyed its condolences to their bereaved families and prayed to the Almighty God to grant eternal peace and rest to the two departed senior national workers.
LPG supply resumes in Kohima
Kohima, September 16 (MExN): All Kohima Indane Distributors Association (AKIDA) has informed the public that normal supply of LPG cylinders has resumed, a press release stated.
Kohima Dist Level science seminar today
Kohima, September 16 (MExN): The Kohima District Level Science Seminar 2018 will take place on September 17 at Mezhür Higher Secondary School Kohima from 10:30 AM under the aegis of District Education Officer, Kohima. The seminar will be held under the theme “Industrial Revolution 4:0: Are we prepared?” Wonthungo Tsopoe, Director School Education Nagaland will grace the seminar as the special guest. Introductory speech will be given by Piholi Swunetho, District Education Officer, Kohima. The inaugural function will be chaired by Kaitunchap Newmai, JEO.
DDLGBU elects new office bearers
Dimapur, September 16 (MExN): The Dimapur District Lotha GBs Union (DDLGBU) held an annual general meeting on August 17 and elected new office bearers including 11 executive members. The new office bearers are K. Ntonsi Ngullie as President, Phyophio Odyuo as Vice President, T. Yanpenthung Lotha as General Secretary, Elhio Ngullie as Joint Secretary and Akhemo Patton as Treasurer. This was informed in a press release by, DDLGBU General Secretary T. Yanpenthung Lotha.
