NPCC, Media Cell in a press release further acknowledged the people for ‘out rightly rejecting BJP and its brand of communal politics that has polarized the country like never before.’ The road to 2019 is getting clearer and the supposed magic of Prime Minister Modi is on the wane as people are fed up of his ‘jhumlas and slandering opponents that have lowered the dignity of the Prime Minister’s office,’ added the release. The release further stated that when people from major states can reject BJP’s communal brand of politics, Nagas should retrospect and join hands to strengthen Congress and defeat the 'communal BJP and its regional comfort parties like NDPP and NPF.' BJP being part of ruling government in Nagaland with the help of these two regional parties has made a mockery of Nagas in the eyes of the nation, added the release.
