PWC meeting on Naga Pol issue on Dec 19
Dimapur, December 15 (MExN): Zhaleo Rio, speaker in-charge Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) and Chairman of the Parliamentary Working Committee has convened a meeting of the Parliamentary Working Committee of the Joint Legislators Forum on Naga Political issue on December 19, 2:00 pm in the Committee Room of Assembly Secretariat. All the Members of the Parliament Working Committee (PWC) have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
NDPP Central Youth Org mourns demise of secretary
Kohima, December 15 (MExN): The NDPP Central Youth Organisation has mourned the demise of Late Peter Sangtam on December 14. He was serving as Secretary till his demise. “In his demise, the organisation has lost an irreplaceable member who has dedicatedly rendered his service to the party, stated a condolence note from the President Kelhouneizo Yhome. “The organization commiserates with the bereaved Family at these hours of great sorrow and prays that Almighty God grant solace. May beloved Late Peter Sangtam rest in eternal peace,” the note further stated.
RSA mourns demise of member
Dimapur, December 15 (MExN): The Rengma Sports Association has mourned the demise of Rueben Kent, former Vice-President, RSA at Dimapur on December 14. “Late Rueben Kent was a sincere, energetic and a dedicated person in the field of sports and other social activities. The demise of our former member is a great loss to our community especially to the RSA. The vital role played by him will always be remembered and cherished forever,” a condolence note from RSA General Secretary stated.
Sensitization prog on BBBP held in Meluri
Meluri, December 15 (MExN): A sensitization programme on BBBP organised by Phek district Administration for Meluri sub division was held at Town Hall on December 13. The programme was chaired by Rhosietho Nguori ADC Meluri who also delivered the keynote address. Nyanok Konyak, NCS, Jonathara Begun Assistant teacher and Dr. Khrieno Tachu MO were the resource persons for the program who spoke on "Status of women: Gender issue", "Empowering women through Education" and "Women health and safety" respectively. A folk song was presented by Khumiasu village women. The program was organized with a special focus on pregnant women and lactating mothers.
