NASU office to remain closed
Kohima, December 20 (MExN): Northern Angami Students' Union (NASU) office shall remain closed from December 20 – January 6, 2019 on account of Christmas and New Year. The Union further wishes all its members an "Advance Joyous Christmas and Happy Prosperous New Year."
PDSA informs on raffle draw
Kohima, December 20 (MExN): The raffle draw of the Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) which was supposed to be declared on December 15 has been postponed to February 15, 2019 due to some unavoidable circumstances. The Association expressed regret for the change and inconvenience cause. All concerned have requested to bear with the change.
BJP Dimapur constitutes new team at ward No.5
Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): BJP Dimapur has constituted a new team at ward no. 5 of Dimapur Municipal Council (1-Dimapur-1 A/c) with Daniel Swu as President, I Aketo Zhimo V/President (Parent Body) and Nur-alam General Secretary (Parent Body). The Mahila Morcha, Minority Morcha, Kissan Morcha and the Yuva Morcha were also constituted, a press release from BJP Ward No. 5 informed.
Training held on baking
Kohima, December 20 (MExN): The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) Kohima Ward Adoption Committee conducted a one day Training on Baking at Lower PR Hill Panchayat Hall, Kohima on December 19. Rural development Advisor Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire along with Dr Menesetuo Tseikha, Secretary DPDB Kohima Ward Adoption Committee inspected the training programme and expressed happiness over the good turn-out. Jenny Thong Kath was the resource person. Altogether 20 trainees joined the training programme.
Kohima Chakhesang community to observe combined Christmas
Kohima, December 20 (MExN): Chakhesang Community Churches in Kohima is set to observe combined Christmas celebration cum Christmas feast on December 25 at Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Convention Centre, Kohima, 10:00 am onwards with Reverend Dr Vevo Phesao, Sr Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill, Kohima (CBCMHK) as the speaker. According to official sources of the organizer, Reverend Dr Kevekhalo Lasuh, Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kitsubozuo (CBCK) will lead the service, Vesato Theluo will act as the cantor, Akhro-ü Veswüh will be the pianist. Reverend Dr Thupu-o Nyekha, Kewezü G Kenye, Reverend Zhowhuyi Nyekha, Reverend Neiko Mero and Vesatso Tetseo are part of the programme. CBCMHK, CCRC upper PWD, KCBCK, CBCK, CCRCK, CLCAG members will present special praises while Reverend Khrotso Mero, Sr Pastor, CBCK will pronounce a closing prayer. A combined Christmas feast shall be held at the premise of NBCC Convention Centre, NSF Solidarity Park areas etc. The Feast committee has appealed to the entire Chakhesang community in Kohima to be a part and share the blessings of God. Youth Department will be observing a combined Youth Christmas Carol on December 23 at Chakhesang Christian Revival Church (CCRC), upper PWD by 3:00 pm. All youths of the churches are requested to be part of the combined carol programme.
