Launch of interactive digital smart board today

Kohima, March 3 (MExN): The statewide launching programme of interactive digital smart board for smart classrooms under the aegis of department of higher education will take place on March 4, 10:00 am at Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Jotsoma. It will be formally launched by CM Neiphiu Rio.

 

ENPO CEC to discuss statehood demand

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) 2020 Central Executive Council (CEC) meeting will be held on March 10 at Mon headquarters. A press release issued by ENPO General Secretary Manlang Phom stated that besides ENPO executives and CEC members, talk team members for statehood demand, advisors, six federating tribal bodies, frontal organizations and sub units, members from Eastern Nagaland Legislatures Union will participate in the meet. Apart from other important agendas, state demand issue may be one of the central topic for discussion, the release added. ENPO has requested all concerned to attend the meeting without fail. 

 

CVYS reiterates ban on hunting and jungle burning

Chümoukedima, March 3 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Village Youth Society (CVYS) has once again notified all habitants around Chümoukedima village that in the interest of the village people, activities like hunting and jungle burning will be strictly banned in the village area and possession of any type of guns shall be ceased. CVYS in a press release stated defaulters will be imposed penalty with stern action, amounting to Rs 1 lakh as per customary laws and standing resolutions with immediate effect from March 1. It further notified that other “illegal” activities like fishing, picnicking, unauthorized door to door business, without legal papers, collection of wood, grazing of herds without tenancy card, partying, littering waste, breaking of bottles in the river sites, loitering after 8:00 pm without genuine reasons will be strictly banned with penalty on permanent basis to conserve and keep environment safe and clean within the jurisdiction.
