ADC & DEO Pughoboto informs political parties Pughoboto, January 29 (DIPR): ADC & DEO Avelu Ruho has informed all the recognised political parties under 13-Pughoboto Assembly Constituency that the first Level of Randomization of EVMs and VVPATs for the General Election to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly will be carried out on January 28 at 3.00 P.M in the ADC Office. All the recognized political parties have been directed to send representatives to be present for the same.  

DC & DEO Longleng informs Longleng, January 29 (DIPR): In connection with forth coming election the DC & DEO Longleng has informed to all the team members of Election Expenditure Monitoring cell, police Officers in charge of Flying Squads, Static Surveillance team and Political Agents of all intending candidates/parties to attend the briefing on Election Expenditure Monitoring mechanism as put in place by the ECI on January 27 at DC conference hall Longleng at 12:00 noon.  

DC & DEO Peren directs Polling Personnel Peren, January 29 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Peren, SmitaSarangi, IAS has directed all the polling personnel requisitioned for the conduct of the 13th Legislative Assembly Election 2018, to attend the training in their own respective circle, along with two passport size photograph, as per the schedule given below. For Peren and Jalukie circle from January 29 to 31 and for Tening circle on February 1 to 3. Attendance is compulsory and absentees shall be dealt as per the appropriate section of the Law.  

DC & DEO Peren issues order on arms Peren, January 29 (DIPR): DC and DEO Peren, Smita Sarangi, IAS has issued an order prohibiting carrying of Arms in any manner, within its jurisdiction, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the ECI, for peaceful conduct be of Election. However, carrying of armed license for verification to the nearest Police Station or for purpose of NDAL database is exempted from the purview of the Order. This Order shall come into effect immediately till the process of the Elections are over.  

Election related meeting at Phek Phek, January 29 (DIPR): In view of the forthcoming 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2018, and for ensuring of compliance to the model code of conduct, the Phek district standing committee held a meeting at DPDB conference hall Phek on January 27. Deputy Commissioner Phek, Shanavas C (IAS) spoke on the role of model code of conduct and shared the importance and duties of the entrusted responsible teams. All the entrusted officials were requested to remain in their station and do their duties assigned to them.  

Polling Officials training underway Mokokchung, January 29 (DIPR): The first round of training for polling officials in respect of Mokokchung district has begun at Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School auditorium from January 29. The Training is being conducted for ROs, AROs, Sector Magistrates, Presiding Officers, First, Second, Third and Fourth Polling officials by District Level Master trainers. The training which will continue till February 1 began with an address by the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Mokokchung, SachinJaiswal IAS. In Mokokchung district, more than two thousand polling officials will be involved to conduct the polling.  

DC & DEO Longleng informs on MCC Longleng, January 29 (DIPR): In pursuance to the announcement of Election to the NLA, the DC & DEO Longleng has notified to all concern that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for the guidance of political parties and candidates is enforced immediately in Longleng district. It further informed that Video Viewing Team/Video Surveillance Team/Static Surveillance Team/Flying Squads Team/Expenditure Monitoring Cell/District Complain Monitoring Cell/Media Cell/Model Code of Conduct Cell/Assistant Expenditure Observer/Accounting Team/Media Certification and Monitoring Committee/Counting Supervisors/Counting Assistants/Tabulation/Distributor/Sending of EVMs after counting/ Control Room have been constituted for smooth conduct of election in the district under the Model Code of Conduct.  

Prevention of defacement of property Longleng, January 29 (DIPR): In connection with Prevention of Defacement of Property during the forthcoming general election to NLA the DC & DEO Longleng has notified to all concern that no political party/association/body or candidate or their workers, or supporters have any right to deface or damage any private or public property by pasting of posters, writing of slogans, painting of their symbols etc. Further no political party or candidate shall permit its followers to make use of private individuals, land, building, compound wall etc. without the owners’ permission for erecting flag staff, suspending banners, pasting notices, writing slogans etc. Violation of such undesirable activities without the written permission of the owner of the building, the concern party/candidate/persons shall be prosecuted and processed against the law. This order comes into effect with immediate effect.
