meet concludes

Dimapur, January 18 (MExN): The 30th meet of BPSA (N) hosted by Benreului Unit, Mhainamtsi was held from December 18 to 21, 2013 at Mhainamtsi village. The tournament was dedicated by Rev. Kuzierang Thoü, and the closing ceremony was graced by Helusing, a press release informed. The office bearers and the board members have acknowledged the members, who had extended physical as well as financial assistance during the sports meet.  

ANSSATA Kiphire unit meeting

Kiphire, January 18 (MExN): The All Nagaland SSA Teachers’ Association (ANSSATA) Kiphire unit’s general meeting would be held on January 22, 2014, 2 pm at Trinity School, Kiphire. A press release informed that selection of office bearers will be done during the meeting. All SSA teachers under Kiphire district have been informed to attend the meeting positively. Strict disciplinary action shall be imposed on the absentees, cautioned the note.  

Campaign for wild life protection

Kohima, January 18 (MExN): The Tuzu Area Environmentalists Movement (TAEM) Khukishe is organizing a campaign for protection of wild animals on January 28 at 10:00 AM. Parliamentary secretary for women & child development and sericulture Pukhayi will grace the occasion as the chief guest while Akatyo Yeputhomi, deputy commissioner will be the guest of honour. All the member villages have been requested to attend the same. This was stated in a release issued by TAEM president Vihuto Yepthomi.

Dimapur BLOs informed

Dimapur, January 18 (MExN):  Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur and District Election Officer, N Hushili Sema has informed all the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) under Dimapur district to attend the National Voters’ Day function to be held on January 25, 11:00 am at the DC conference hall here.

Mangkolemba, January 18 (DIPR): The monthly SDPDB meeting of Mangkolemba for the month of January 2014 will be held on January 20, 11 am at DB Court Mangkolemba. All the SDPDB members of Mangkolemba sub-division have been informed to attend without fail.

SBAK executive council meeting

Aizuto, January 18 (MExN): There will be an executive council meeting of the Sumi Baptist Churches Association (SBAK) Aizuto on January 24, 2014 at Anderson Heritage, Sumi Christian Centre Aizuto at 10:00 am. Therefore, the executive secretary of SBAK has requested both new and old council members to attend this first meeting as set in the SBAK calendar 2014.

Tsg observes road safety week

Tuensang, January 18 (DIPR): Tuensang Transport Department joined the rest of the nation in observing road safety week and creating awareness, where a meeting was held at ENSF Hall Tuensang on January 17. In the meeting, District Transport Officer Tuensang, Sanglee Chang emphasized on the important role of the drivers in preventing accident and how to avoid the life hazard of the general public. EAC HQ Tuensang, Kikato K Chishi also addressed the meeting. Presidents of various drivers’ unions and vehicle owners also delivered short speeches dwelling on the concern about road safety and awareness of road safety rules. Traffic in-charge PS Tuensang and Bendang Longchar explained on matters pertaining to technical ground traffic rule guidelines and MVI Acts & rules. The meeting was attended by drivers and vehicle owners along with the transport department staffs.

ZB (N) public meeting on Jan 23

PEREN, JANUARY 18 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland has informed all frontal organizations that a public meeting has been convened on January 23, 11:00 am at Local Ground, Peren town, to discuss matters relating to developmental activities, social hold-up, District headquarter and various issue confronting the public. A press note from the ZB (N) informed that a platform for speeches shall be given to all the organizations of Peren district, such as the Zeliangrong Students Union Nagaland, Village Development Board Federation, Village Chairman Union & GBs’ Union with their delegates, Zeliangrong Mipui Baudi, Zeme Council Nagaland, Rongmei Council Nagaland, Liangmai Council Nagaland, Zeliangrong Youth Front, both Zeliang Peoples Organization, Zeliang Officer’s Union, public leaders and intellectuals. As such, it requested all the presidents/representatives to prepare and attend the meeting positively. Further information will be disseminated to all the presidents and secretaries of the respective organizations and union in due course of time, it added.
