CRS Eco Club observes Earth Day
Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): The Eco Club of Charity Residential School (CRS), Unity Village observed Earth Day on April 22 under the theme “Control Pollution”. The day was observed by organizing drawing and art competition at the school premises. Altogether 80 students participated. The day was also marked by various activities like cleaning the streets and collecting plastic and burning garbage in the school surrounding, informed a press release.
Excise seize liquor
Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): The Mobile Squad duty party at Chumukedima Excise check gate on April 21, around 2:40 pm seized 300 bottles of assorted IMFL from a Kohima bound taxi bearing registration No. NL-01T-7770. According to a press release received here, the passenger of the taxi Tuile Zeliang admitted that the consignment belonged to her. She had bought it from railway gate area to be taken to Kohima, she added. Therefore, Tuile Zeliang was arrested and charged under Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act. The seized articles have been kept in the Mobile Squad Malkhana and will be destroyed after receiving sanction order from the Director of Prohibition, stated the release.
NMM and IEM sign partnership agreement
Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): Nagaland Missions Movement (NMM) and Indian Evangelical Mission (IEM) signed a partnership agreement on March 2 in Hyderabad. This is basically to train the missionaries to serve with understanding in the fields, empower the local leaders by sharing the resources and conduct various programmes like family and mission seminars, team building and inter personal skill seminars for the church leaders and members to strengthen the local congregation. IEM state secretary for Nagaland, Rev. R Mangyang Chang expressed that the partnership will really bring newness in the church and mission relationship and set a role model to many.
SVUD general session
Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): The 11th general session of Seyochung Village Union Dimapur (SVUD) will be held on April 26, 10:00 am at the residence of the Union’s banker at Purana Bazaar, Dimapur. Therefore, all the members have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.
