Phek NSCU informs
Phek, April 22 (MExN): The Phek District Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has notified to all contractors executing contract work under Phek district to kindly comply with the office standing order of 1% deduction from every contractor’s bill for maintenance of its office at Phek district HQs. A press release issued by NCSU Phek president Kuzhoseyi (Alex) and its general secretary Khruzo Venyo stated that the office is functioning in “full swing”, hence cautioned that non-compliance of its order would lead to cessation of work in the district. The district union further requested all the heads of various departments under Phek district to take note of the notification issued, and also urged all the legislators from Phek district to extend all possible co-operation towards the “good cause” of the union for better understanding and unity in the days to come.
TUD condemns murder
Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): The president of Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) in a press statement has strongly condemned the “brutal murder” of a woman whose body was recovered on April 17, 2014 at Eros Line colony Dimapur. Khalo Kapfo expressed shock, “as how in our Naga Society, where we have so much respect for women has forgotten our social values, ethics and committed such a heinous crime.” He asserted that whoever has committed such a “beastly act” must be booked immediately and awarded the most severe punishment to deter reoccurrence in future. The president also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and appealed to the authority concerned to act swiftly and arrest all the people responsible for the murder of one of the bonafide members of TUD. The TUD office further appealed to the authority concerned to set up SIT so “the murder case is cracked immediately and justice delivered to the bereaved members.”
