DSSATA convenes emergency meet
Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): Dimapur SSA Teachers Association (DSSATA) has convened an emergency meeting of all its members on April 29, 1:00 pm at Lotha Hoho Ki, DC Office road junction, Dimapur. Consultative meet of Chakhesang frontal orgs
Kohima, April 27 (MExN): A consultative meeting of the frontal organizations of the Chakhesang people will be held on April 30 at Mini Tourist Lodge, Pfutsero at 10:00 AM.

All Chakhesang Cultural Organization (CCO) executive officials including advisory members and officials/ representatives from Chakhesang Cultural Research Institute, attire committee, CPO, CYF, CMA have been requested to attend the meeting without fail. The programme has already been officially dispatched to all concerned in this regard. Some of the agendas for discussion include Chakhesang Cithici (Morung) at Kisama, CCRI building plot, CPO resolution on traditional culture, 2000, and modification/ misuses of Chakhesang traditional attires. 

KVK NU conducts training for women SHGs
Lumami, April 27 (MExN): Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Lumami, Nagaland University conducted training programmes for women Self Help Groups (SHGs) at Lumami, Zunheboto district sponsored by Creative Self Help Group.

A press release informed that Dr. Kundan Kumar, SMS (Agricultural Extension) provided in depth knowledge regarding formation of SHG and its functioning. Later, Visakho Shunyu, SMS (Agronomy, Genetics & Plant Breeding) imparted training on production technology of Soybean. SHGs were encouraged/ motivated to take up Soybean cultivation to increase their income and for self sustenance of the SHGs. In the last session, Dr. Rakesh Kr. Chaurasia, Programme Coordinator discussed on the importance of rearing Vanaraja chicks. 

The note mentioned that the SHGs were provided with Vanaraja chicks under TSP programmes. SHG members were also provided with antihelminthics, vitamins and antibiotics free of cost for prevention of some common diseases in poultry birds and pigs.
