May 1 -7 is NMM Mission Week 
Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): Nagaland Missions Movement (NMM), the Missions Department of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has been observing its Mission week since 1980 in all the churches under NBCC during the first of week May (I – 7) for prayer and giving opportunity to its members to participate in Missions through giving. This is also observed in institutions and mission fields. All the churches under NBCC to observe this Mission Week (1 -7 May, 2014) with commitment and prayer for the extension of His kingdom and fulfilling the great commission of our Lord Saviour Jesus Christ through this programme. 

Admissions open to class 11 in GHSS
Kohima, April 29 (DIPR): The Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland M. Patton IAS in a press release No. DSE/CAB/HSE-UPGR/2012-13 Dated Kohima the 29th April 2014 informed that Admission to Class XI (eleven) in the new Government Higher Secondary Schools being upgraded will commence from May 12. All eligible students desiring to be admitted in the Schools as listed are hereby informed to contact the Principal/Vice Principal in charge of the concerned schools during working hours. The following GHSS are as listed: Seikhazou, Chiephobozou, John Viswema, Jotsoma, N.I. Jamir, Tuli, Mangkolemba, Thangjam, Shamator, Longkhim, Naginimora, Pfutsero, Meluri, Chukitong, Aghunato, Sataka, Medziphema, Peren, Longleng, Kiphire and Pungro. Admission Forms will be available from 12th May 2014 onwards from the Principal of respective Schools.

NASSA silver jubilee celebration on April 30
Kohima, April 30 (DIPR): The Nagaland Assembly Secretariat Staff Association will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee on April 30 at New Assembly Complex at 11 a.m. with Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Chotisuh Sazo as chief guest. Highlights of the programme includes invocation prayer by Chaplain NHAK, Bendangtemsu Jamir; welcome address by President NASSA, N. Noksang Jamir; brief account on NASSA formation Advisor NASSA, Bangjung Chang; special songs by Nguvito Tsuipu and Keneisielie and friends; short speeches by Deputy Speaker, Er. Levi Rangma, CLP Leader, Tokheho Yepthomi, Secretary NLA, A.E. Lotha and on behalf of NASSA founding members; Release of Jubilee souvenir and vote of thanks by Convener, Planning Committee, Jenny Ndang. 

 

CTA 35th session from May 2
Kohima, April 29 (MExN): The Chakhesang Theological Association will hold its 35 session from May 2 to 4 under the theme “Re-ordering life” to be hosted by Thenyizumi Baptist Church. The resource persons for the session include Rev. Dr. N. Chiero, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, Rev.Dr. Yiepetso Wazah, Vezopa Rhakho, Vemuriyi Vadeo and Z.K. Parhü. The hosting church informed that free fooding and lodging would be provided to all the delegates. All pastors, associate pastor, theological graduates and students under CBCC have been requested to attend the session without fail.

DUDA informs
Kohima, April 29 (MExN): The department of underdeveloped areas Nagaland is holding valedictory function cum distribution of machines/tools for vocational training on bamboo/wood crafts, tailoring and mechanized stone masonry under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) on May 3 at 10:00 AM at Pusa Craft Centre, Jharnapani.  DUDA advisor Naiba Konyak will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The function will be chaired by DUDA director Alan Gonmei.
