Land registration in Jalukieram Village
Dimapur, April 30 (MExN): Registration of land within Jalukieram Village jurisdiction will be carried out from the date of this notification till May 15, 2014. Therefore all the land holders have been requested to register within stipulated time. Failing to do so, the village council will not be held responsible for any future complication. This was stated in a press release by chairman of Jalukieram Village Council, Keyitwa.
Electrical contractors informed
Kohima, April 30 (MExN): All the Nagaland electrical contractors have been informed that the yearly renewal of contractor licence will be compiled from the Nagaland Electrical Contractors’ Union’s office, opposite power house Kohima and shall be forwarded to the Chief Electrical Inspector’s office thereafter. Therefore, all the electrical contractors have been requested to submit their licence to the Union head office on or before May 15, 2014 for compilation and verification.
Armed GPRN/NSCN cadre arrested
Dimapur, April 30 (MExN): A Major in the GPRN/NSCN identified as Ayeto Zhimo (36), currently residing at 4th Mile, Dimapur was arrested on April 29 by East Police Station personnel along with IRB patrolling party. A press release from the office of the superintendent of police, Dimapur informed that the arrested cadre was found threatening and harassing some public and had snatched their mobile handsets and other belongings in the process. One 9MM pistol with 11 live ammunitions and two mobile handsets were recovered from his possession. The armed cadre was arrested and a case U/S 392 IPC R/w 25 (1-A) Arms Act R/w 7/8 NSR was registered against the accused for investigation, it added.
UNTA condemns April 30 incident
DIMAPUR, APRIL 30 (MExN): The United Naga Tribes Association (UNTA) has condemned the incident where one Supongmeren Longkumer of Chuchuyimlang village was shot at in the Assam Nagaland border on April 30 and passed away. A press note from the UNTA appealed for the two states governments of Assam and Nagaland to promptly investigate the incident. It further called upon the Nagaland Government to provide proper security to the people living along the said Border area, “who are being frequently harassed by the armed Assam police before any further situation goes out of proportion.” The UNTA also extended condolences to the members of the bereaved family.

Therefore, the owner of the vehicle has been asked to come and claim the vehicle with original documents within 7 days from the date of issuing this notice. GPRN/NSCN Khiamniungan Region to be supervised by Kilo Ministry
Dimapur, April 30 (MExN): For a period of six months, Khiamniungan region of GPRN/NSCN would be supervised by the Kilo Kilonser till regional issues and problems are resolved. This was decided during a meeting between Kilo ministry GPRN/NSCN and Khiamniungan region authority held on April 29, 2014 at the Oking. In a press release issued by MIP GPRN/NSCN, Kilo Secretary Ghukiho T. Jimo informed that administration and all traditional taxations/ assistances shall be handled by the official deputed by the Kilo Kilonser. All Regional workers have been directed to fully co-operate with the central representative. Khiamniungan tribal leaders and general public have also been appealed to fully co-operate with the administrator deputed from the centre.
LHD appeals for release of SSA teachers’ salary
Dimapur, April 30 (MExN): The Lotha Hoho Dimapur (LHD) has appealed to the department concerned to look into the “genuine grievances” of the Nagaland SSA Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) and release the pending salaries of the SSA teachers. “The plight of the Nagaland SSA teachers who carry the burden of strenuous teaching task deserves attention on top priority, as it directly hampers the fate of the School children in whom the future matters,” stated LHD in a press release appended by Assistant General Secretary Khyothungo Tungoe. “Non receipt of salary for months together at a stretch is a matter of concern which calls for reciprocation in return to the services rendered by the teachers,” it added.

National Level Folk Dance & Music Festival
Mokokchung, April 30 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Murohu Chotso has informed that the NEZCC (North East Zone Cultural Centre) is organizing a National Level Folk Dance & Music Festival in Mokokchung from May 1 to 3, coinciding with Moatsu Festival. In this connection, a Moatsu cultural programme will be held on May 1, 2014 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex jointly organized by NEZCC and MDACC where dancing troupes from 9 (nine) states and various local communities will display cultural shows besides traditional games from 6 (six) schools. All the Head of the Offices and staffs, ward authorities, village council & GBs of Mokokchung Town and neighboring villages, NGOs and the general public have been requested to attend the cultural programme from 10:00 a.m. onwards on 01-05-2014.
Kikruma Village invites to gate pulling ceremony
Kohima, April 30 (MExN): The Kikruma Village is holding a Village Gate pulling (Kharu) ceremony coinciding with Kurunyi Festival on May 2. Therefore, the Village Council of Kikruma has requested all the Kikruma citizens to attend the programme without fail. RYO to hold social work
Kohima, April 30 (MExN): The Rachü Youth Organization (RYO) will hold a mass social work on May 3 for new connection of drinking water to R. Khel, Viswema village from Tebadzüyo and Bwokekro spring water. RYO president Kropo Neikha informed that RYO will arrange necessary refreshments. In this connection, all the members of R. Khel have been requested to participate in the said social work.
