Network service providers have assured quality service: DNSU
Dimapur, February 2 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) held a coordination meeting with all the network service providers in Dimapur, the union informed through its Media Cell on Tuesday. In the said meeting, the union and authorities of the network service providers—Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and BSNL, had a thorough deliberation wherein “the service providers have assured the Union to provide quality service to its customers/subscribers forthwith,” it stated. The Union meanwhile asked students and teachers to send their location and the name of the network service providers via WhatsApp to the following helpline numbers if they face any network issues: 8794399471/9089517081/7005836154/9862531781. It assured that prompt and appropriate action would be taken within 24 hours of receiving the complaints.
Expedite works on Trans Nagaland Expressway, says TSUD
Dimapur, February 2 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students' Union Dimapur (TSUD) has placed on record, its support for the ongoing construction of foothill roads (Trans Nagaland Expressway) and called on authorities to expedite works. “TSUD feels that the road is of paramount importance to every Nagas irrespective of tribes or region and believes that it will boost our economy,” apart from shortening the time of travel amongst various Naga regions, it said in a press release on Tuesday. It would also facilitate the movement of goods and services and people within the state and is thus, most vital for our social, economic and growth of connectivity, it added. The union further appealed to all the legislators to extend their support and also acknowledged the NFHRCC for zealously pursuing the issue.
CVC convenes meeting with landowners
Dimapur, February 2 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Village Council (CVC) has convened a meeting with the landowners under Chümoukedima village jurisdiction (from Khuova river stretch till Rüzaphema/Peren Boundary) whose lands have been affected by the proposed two laning of NH 129(A) Dimapur-Peren-Imphal, on February 6. In a press release on Tuesday, the CVC informed that the meeting which will commence from 10:00 am at Chümoukedima Village Council Auditorium would discuss and deliberate on matters regarding the proposed project and the affected landowners in the aforementioned stretch. In the event of any landowner(s) failing to attend the meeting, CVC categorically states that it will not entertain any claims or complaints made to the Council thereafter, the release stated.
NLA Committee of Subordinate Legislation to meet on February 8
Kohima, February 2 (MExN): MLA and Chairperson of the Committee of Subordinate Legislation Dr Imtiwapang Aier has fixed a sitting of the committee on February 8, 2:00pm in the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat. All members of the committee have been requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting, a press release from NLA Commissioner and Secretary Dr PJ Antony stated on Tuesday.
