ANHTU Wokha Unit dismayed by non-payment of salaries 

Wokha, July 7 (MExN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teacher’s Union (ANHTU) Wokha Unit has expressed dismay over the delay in payment of salaries and appealed the concerned department to disburse salaries that have been pending since March this year. In a press release on Wednesday, the ANHTU stated that teachers have been put in a ‘miserable condition’ owing to non-payment of salaries from March to June 2021. It said that the delay has put teachers in a situation where they are unable to procure needs for day to day life and appealed the department to release the pending salaries at the earliest.

NSCN/GPRN extends Tuluni greetings

Dimapur, July 7 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN has extended greetings to the Sumi community on the occasion of Tuluni.  “Restrictions caused by the pandemic have had great impact on the social life and activities but nevertheless, it is of the belief that even at such times, the spirit of joy and hope remains embedded in the hearts of the people, strengthening the bond of friendship and brotherhood among the community,” it said in a press release on Wednesday.  Stating that Tuluni is an embodiment of friendship and prosperity, the NSCN/GPRN urged members of Sumi community to lead with good examples and be front runners of peace and unity among Naga tribes.

NSCN (IM) condoles

Dimapur, July 7 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Regardson Shimrah, Tatar, who passed away on July 7.  Late Shimrah hailed from Peh village under Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR) and joined the Naga national service in 1993, according to a condolence note from the MIP. “He served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise. For his selfless contributions to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and he shall be remembered for all time to come,” the MIP stated while conveying condolences to the bereaved family members. 

‘Naturally Nagaland’ to open on July 9

Dimapur, July 7 (MExN): The ‘Naturally Nagaland’ outlet located at 4th mile, opposite Agri Expo, Dimapur will be inaugurated by Agriculture Production Commissioner, Nagaland, Kikheto Sema on July 9. Joint secretary to the Government of Nagaland, S Tainiu, has requested all the Administrative Heads of Department (AHoD) and Heads of Department (HoD) of Agri & Allied departments to make it convenient to attend the launching of the outlet.
