DC Phek cautions obstruction of traffic movement

Phek, April 15 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam, NCS in an order dated 13th April 2024 has stated that, due to earth cutting for construction of houses along the proposed 2-Lane road (NH-702A) from Chozuba to Phek and from Losami junction to Meluri, smooth traffic movement is being obstructed due to mudslide/dumping along the road. Therefore, all concerned have been directed to immediately cease construction/earth cutting and further remove all debris along the aforementioned road. Further, he informed that, if any vehicles on polling duty are held up due to the negligence of certain groups/individuals by failing to comply with this order the concerned party shall be held fully responsible and action shall be initiated.

Vehicular restrictions from New Vongti to Pungro Town

Pungro, April 15 (MExN): In view of the road widening and up-gradation work from New Vongti to Pungro Town, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Pungro, Vekusheyi Rhakho, has issued an order imposing vehicular restrictions on the said road from April 13 to 17, between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This restriction aims to expedite earth cutting works before the monsoon. Commuters and commercial vehicles plying along this route are informed to take note of the restriction hours to avoid inconvenience. Light Vehicles including passenger vehicles (Sumo Taxi) have been advised to take the alternative route via Tetheze (Tetheze Road) during the aforementioned period.
