Chizami, August 5 (MExN): The NDPP 17 Chizami A/C has refuted the reports of some former NDPP members from Phek District joining Indian National Congress on August 1. The Media Cell of NDPP 17 Chizami A/C in a press release stated that D Mosonyi Domeh, former president, NDPP Phek Region and Yetshulhi Ngatsi, former CEC member NDPP had “defected to NPP Party ahead of the last State Assembly Election held in February 2023 and supported the NPP candidate.” As such, the question of them defecting from NDPP party to INC Party is totally irrelevant and unfounded. “It was nothing more than a ploy to discredit the NDPP 17 Chizami A/C party and to create confusion in the minds of the general public by using NDPP Party's name and designation by them in the first place,” it alleged. “They no longer have any connection/affiliation whatsoever with the NDPP Party after their defection to the NPP Party ahead of the last State Assembly Election,” the clarification added.
