
Will not allow illegal taxation, anti-social elements to hamper development: CYF
Phek, August 29 (MExN): The Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF), on August 28, made it stand clear against illegal taxation and cautioned “anti-social elements hampering the progress of developmental activities in its jurisdiction.” It further reiterated a resolution of the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) that “illegal taxation or anti-social elements by any group (s) individual (s) shall not entertain nor allowed to take place in the development activities within its jurisdiction.”
The CYF strongly support the decision made by the people of Chakhesang community, stated a press release issued by CYF President Lhuvesayi Lohe and Genral Secretary, Nyitso Therie.
Meanwhile, underscoring the importance of 2-lane mega projects in the district which it said would benefit every section of the society for the generations to come, the CYF stated: “It is our bounden duty to support and cooperate with the authorities.”
In this connection, the Front also directed its village/town/area units to report any illegal taxation or anti-social activities. The CYF also cautioned NHIDCL and its contractors working in different packages for timely completion and not to compromise the work quality while assuring its sincere cooperation and support to the ongoing projects.
It further expressed appreciation to the public for their support and cooperation till date and further appealed them not to obstruct the progress of work.
KSUD to commence membership drive
Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): Khiamniungan Students' Union Dimapur (KSUD) will be carrying out its membership drive from September 1-30. As per a resolution, the KSUD undertake the exercise ensure proper census of the students, for which the respective colony executive members have been entrusted, a press release the union Media Cell informed. NNC/FGN inducts 4 Dy Kilonsers, appoints 3 Dy Secys
Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): The NNC/FGN inducted 4 Deputy Kilonsers and appointed 3 (Three) Deputy Secretaries from the Lotha Region at a swearing-in ceremony held in Dimapur on Augsut 28.
The inductions and appointments were carried out in accordance with the constitutional provision, based on the recommendation of the 10 Sub-Regions of the Lotha Region under the leadership of Mhathung Ovung, Kilonser and Thungchamo Kithan, Midan Peyu, Lotha Region, informed a press release received here.
Zhuphio Ngullie, Renpen Lotha, Roland N Tsopoe and Lichio Lotha were inducted as Deputy Kilonsers while Elias Kithan, N. Chonbemo Kithan and R. Abemo Jami were appointed as Deputy Secretaries, it said.
The Oath of Office was administered by Zhopra Vero, Kedallo, NNC/FGN on behalf of Brig (Retd) S Singnya, Kedahge, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), informed the release from Ghuvishe V Zhimomi, Secretary General, FGN. “The NNC/FGN acknowledges and appreciates the contributions and sacrifices made by the Lotha Region towards the Naga Nation in the past and hopes that the present national workers of the Region as well will exhibit the same spirit of dedication, commitment, loyalty and nationalistic zeal,” it added.
Muivah mourns demise of Kilonser
Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): The Ato Kilonser of the Government of the People's Republic of Nagalim, Th Muivah has expressed pain and sadness over the demise of A Ashuli, Kilonser, Shepoumaramth region on August 28 at his residence in Senapati. Late Ashuli, a native of Vafiimai (Lail) village in Senapati, is survived by his beloved wife and 6 daughters. In a condolence message via its MIP, the NSCN (IM) Ato Kilonser informed that late Ashuli joined the national movement with a conviction and commitment in the year 1991 and has served the Naga nation in various capabilities. He was the former Dy. Kilonser, Ministry of Forest and Environment.
“In all the responsibilities shouldered, he has exhibited the spirit of a true nationalist. His service rendered to the Naga nation shall be remembered by all in all times,” he said.
“I, on behalf of the Naga nation offer prayers to the Almighty God to comfort and protect the near and dear ones of the departed soul. l pray that the departed soul finds his eternal rest,” Muivah stated in the message addressed to V Caroline, the wife of the late Kilonser.
GPRN/NSCN condoles
Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has mourned the untimely demise of Samuel Sangtam, Deputy Kilonser under United Sangtam Region (USR) and Zhekugha Zhimo, Deputy Kilonser, Union Territory (UT) Region who passed away on August 25 and 26 respectively. The former was a native of Kiphere village while the latter hailed from Shokhuvi village.
Late Samuel and late Zhekugha served the Naga nation for 25 years and 13 years respectively wholeheartedly with full commitment till their last breath, stated MIP, GPRN/NSCN in a condolence message.
They were ardent and prolific members of GPRN with exemplary personalities of compassion and dedication towards the cause of the Naga nation, it said.
In their demise, the nation have loss two of our most dedicated and promising members but their impressive services and companionship during their life time would “be very much missed and shall ever be cherished and treasured in the pages of Naga history,” it added.
The GPRN/NSCN also conveyed its deepest sorrow and heartfelt condolence to all bereaved dear family members of the deceased colleagues and prayed that the Almighty to grant solace and comfort at this grief time. “May the departed souls rest in eternal peace.”
Patton condoles
Kohima, August 29 (MExN): The Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Y Patton has expressed sadness to learn about the demise of Pilamo Ezung, DSP (Retd), and a former chairman of Tsungiki village under Wokha District. Late Pilamo was an upright person with integrity, a sincere officer and also a committed public leader even after post retirement and his demise is a “great loss for the people of the area and will be felt dearly,” Patton stated. “The Dy.CM along with his wife send deepest condolence to the bereaved family and pray that God will comfort them in their time of grief,” read a condolence message from Media Cell, Dy.CMO Nagaland.
