NSCN (IM) Tatar Hoho Winter Session

Dimapur, December 2 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has convened Tatar Hoho Winter Session at the Council Headquarters (CHq), Hebron on December 14 and 15 at 10:30 am. The NSCN (IM) MIP in a press release stated that any issue based agenda can be submitted to the Secretary, Tatar Hoho, on or before December 10. Prior to the Tatar Hoho Winter Session, Oath of Allegiance and Secrecy for the newly appointed Tatars and others will be administered at the Tatar Hoho Hall, CHq Hebron at 10:30 am, it added.

Govt increases 2-wheeler taxi permit in Kohima

Kohima, December 2 (MExN): In continuation of the Transport Department’s Notification of even number dated 15/09/2022 and in the exercise of the powers conferred under Section 95 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 the Government of Nagaland has notified an increase in the ceiling limit for the issue of two-wheeler taxi permit in Kohima Town from 150 to 200 nos.

DC & DEO Phek informs

Phek, December 1 (MExN): DC & District Election Officer, Phek Kumar Ramnikant has directed all the central and state government departments under Phek district to furnish a detailed list of office staff in the prescribed format with a photocopy of A/Roll to be signed by respective DDOs and Government vehicles to its office on or before December 6 in connection with the conduct of forthcoming State Legislative Assembly Election, 2023. All details should be mandatorily furnished and submitted to the concerned Administrative Head Offices either in the Sub-Division or District.

ENNWU mourns 

Dimapur, December 2 (MExN): The Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU), has mourned the untimely demise of Thsachoba Sangtam, Steering Committee Executive Member, NSCN (IM) on December 1 at CHISR. He joined the Naga National Movement at a very young age and served till he breathed his last, informed a condolence note from Moba Chang, CLM/ Convenor, ENNWU. ‘We have lost a man of great integrity whose contribution towards the Nation will be remembered by one and all. The void left behind by his untimely demise will be irreplaceable in the days to come,’ it said.  The union also conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and added: “May the Almighty God grant peace to the departed soul!”

NGBF condoles 

Dimapur, December 2 (MExN): The Nagaland Gaon Bura (village chief) Federation has mourned the demise of Khuvieto Venuh, the father of Alezo Venuh, the Coordinator of the Working Committee, Naga National Political groups (NNPGs). “Through this message we would like to share the grief and join in mourning over the void caused by a good man who left us,” the NGBF conveyed in a condolence message. “No one can prepare you for a loss… However, let us take comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of our Lord,” it said, offering its condolences to the bereaved family. “May Almighty God repose the noble soul in Christ name,” it added.

Western Yimkhiung Hoho condemns Nov 22 killing 

Dimapur, December 2 (MExN): The Western Yimkhiung Hoho (WYH) today expressed sorrow and condemned the killing of late T Zewangkhum Yim, Lance Naik of 10th NAP (IR) and Kevisekho Khate Constable 10th IRB on November 22.  The duo was allegedly shot dead by Constable Zeneise Yhoshu of 4th NAP on the night of November 22 in Lamhainamdi Village under Peren District. In a press release, the WYH appealed to the concerned authority to investigate the case at the earliest and book the culprit and award befitting punishment as per the law of the land to ensure justice to the bereaved family members. It further conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that God may grant solace and comfort in their hour of grief and for the departed to soul rest in eternal peace.
