Mokokchung DC informs on NH 202 closure

MOKOKCHUNG, FEBRUARY 10 (MExN): The Mokokchung DC has issued a travel advisory announcing closure of a section of NH202 due to ongoing repairs on Tsutsung bridge at KM 20.400. The order stated that all vehicular movement along the affected stretch will remain suspended until further notice. Travelers have been advised to use alternative routes: Longsa-Suruhoto-Yangli-Tuensang and Longmisa-Alisopur-Tronger.

Power Dept to test charge 220kV transmission line on February 12

KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 10 (MExN): The Power Department has announced that the 220kV single-circuit transmission line from New Kohima to Mokokchung will be test charged at its rated voltage at 11 am on February 12. The line will remain charged thereafter. A press release from the department said that the transmission line passes through multiple villages and towns, including Zhadima, Botsa, Tseminyu, Tesophenyu, Longkhum, Ungma, and Philimi, among others. The department urged the public to avoid touching or going near the transmission line. The department stated that any individual doing so would be doing so at their own risk, and the department would not be responsible for any untoward incidents.
