CCSU notifies ‘mobile recharge’ retailers 

Tuensang, July 21 (MExN): The Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) has notified all the retailers of ‘mobile recharge’ under Tuensang town that no additional fees should be charged in excess to the MRP. The Confederation has also reminded the citizens of Tuensang Town not to encourage the retailers of the practice but to report to its office if found practicing the same. “In failing to comply with this notification the Confederation will initiate stern action against the defaulters,” the union added. 

 

DC Longleng cautions against harassment of frontline workers

Longleng, July 21 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner, Longleng has informed all concerned that some village and ward authorities are imposing unwarranted rules deviant from the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) causing unnecessary harassment to the healthcare workers and other frontline workers. The DC in an order stated that commission of such acts is an offence under section 51 "Obstruction to perform duty" of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the Epidemic Diseases (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 'Protection of healthcare service personnel' and also section 188 of the Indian Penal Court, 1860. Therefore, all village and ward authorities are directed to refrain from imposing such unwarranted rules which will cause harassment to the COVID-19 frontline workers.

 

KMC reminds pet owners

Kohima, July 21 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has reminded all pet owners under KMC jurisdiction that all pets should be kept vaccinated, registered and confined in their own premises at all times. KMC Administrator Kovi Meyase, in a press release stated that “transmission of COVID-19 from humans to pets had been reported in several parts of the world. Hence, dog/pet owners are to compulsorily take extra care of their pets and keep them confined in line with similar lockdown recommendations for humans.” KMC added that this notification has been issued in the interest of animal health and public safety. 

 

Nagaland Gov, CM mourn late Lalji Tandon
 
KOHIMA, JULY 21 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi has expressed shock at the demise of Lalji Tandon, Governor of Madhya Pradesh on July 21. “In his death the country has lost a dedicated and sincere public leader. His enormous contributions to the Nation will be remembered for ever,” said a condolence from the Nagaland Governor. The Governor further extended condolences to the bereaved family members. Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio also expressed grief at Tandon’s demise and said that “his demise is an immense loss to the nation. He was a leader who dedicated the major part of his life to the service of the nation and its bright future.” The CM extended condolences to the bereaved family. 

 

NHRA informs returnees

Dimapur, July 21 (MExN): The Nagaland Hotel & Restaurant Association (NHRA) has informed all the returnees from within and beyond the country to Dimapur to contact NHRA, Office (8575508733) for assistant of any query and booking of hotels for paid quarantine.
