
KSU to conduct ILP drive in Mon
Dimapur, June 6 (MExN): The Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) has informed that it will conduct an Inner Line Permit (ILP) drive starting from June 15 within Mon district where immigrants should produce their NRC, Aadhar and ILP during the time of checking. A press release from the KSU informed that “defaulters found will be dealt stringently deemed fit as per the law.” The KSU further urged the concerned authority to issue ILP only after proper verification. The KSU said that there is “immense influx of illegal immigrants in Mon district due to the rampant issuance of the inner line permit(ILP) without proper verification by the concerned authority.”
Kohima: Meeting held on Single-Use Plastics
Kohima, June 6 (MExN): In line with the call given by Prime Minister to phase out Single-Use Plastics in the country from July 1, 2022 the Nagaland State's Special Task Force on Plastic Waste Management (Amendment) Rules 205/reviewed the Draft Comprehensive Action Plan on the elimination of Single-Use Plastics (SUPs) on June 2. It was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Nagaland in Kohima.
A DIPR report stated that all District Task Forces and Urban Local Bodies are to sensitize and create awareness among all the stakeholders for successful enforcement and implementation of the ban on the use of SUPs as notified by the Urban Development Department.
DC Mkg informs arms licence holders
Mokokchung, June 6 (MExN): In continuation of the earlier order, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sashank Pratap Singh, IAS has informed all the Arms Licence Holders who are yet to obtain the Unique Identification Number (UIN) for their Arms Licence to obtain the same from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung on or before March 31. It is further impressed upon all the Administrative Officers that top priority should be given to disseminating the information to all villages within their jurisdiction.
