GPRN/NSCN welcomes 12 ‘home-comers’
Dimapur, June 5 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN today informed that 12 persons other Naga Political Groups (NPGs) has joined its fold in “quest for genuine and practical approach to uphold the wishes of the Naga people for unity and early realisation of the Indo-Naga political issue.”
The ‘home-comers’ have decided to “serve and strife for the cause of the Naga nation with full conviction under the genuine and able leadership” of President, General (Retiredd) MB Neokpao Konyak and Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh, stated a press release from MIP, GPRN/NSCN.
The 12 individuals include Pukhavi Yeptho, Tatar; Y Abraham, Leacy; H Sanii, Razou Peyu; and Toviho Zhimomi, Razou Peyu from the NSCN (IM) and Yangtsase Sangtam; Kilonser, Kitoholi Katti, Tatar; Y Lipla Sangtam, Tatar; Tsachomong Sangtam, Razou Peyu; Pili Sangtam, Khapur; Lieut. Col. Atsase Sangtam; and Lieut. Yokyuse Sangtam from NSCN-K (Khango).
Besides, Major Hukavi Sumi of Ang Mai-led NSCN (K) also joined the GPRN/NSCN.
Restriction of LMV lifted at Kohima-Mao road
Kohima, June 5 (MExN): DC Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant has issued an order stating that in partial modification to the Office order of even number dated May 29, vehicular traffic restriction for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) over minor bridge at Chainage KM 200-950 Kohima-Mao Road NH-02 from 7:00 pm - 7:00 am has been lifted with immediate effect. However, vehicular traffic restriction for Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) shall continue as notified earlier, the DC added.
Pensioners’ Helpline in Nagaland
Dimapur, June 5 (MExN): The Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, Nagaland informed that it has set up a dedicated Pensioners’ Helpline, aimed at addressing the various challenges faced by pensioners across the State. This Helpline serves as a specialized assistance platform designed to support pensioners in resolving issues that may arise following the finalization of their pensions by the office of the Accountant General. Recognizing the diverse needs of pensioners, the helpline offers personalized assistance through regular telephonic calls with departmental personnel. While the Department already provides an online grievance registration facility on its website, the introduction of the helpline is envisaged to ensure faster access to assistance, particularly for pensioners who may lack internet access or face difficulties in navigating online services. Pensioners have been encouraged to reach out to the helpline during normal office hours by calling the numbers 87987 47825 and 87987 47826 to speak with officers. Alternatively, grievances can also be submitted via WhatsApp to 87987 47800.
Nagaland Gov greets on Phom day
Kohima, June 5 (MExN): On the occasion of Phom Day, La Ganesan, Governor of Nagaland has extended Phom Day greetings to Phom brothers and sisters. Phom Day is a profound occasion for the Phom Nagas, marking the Peace making Day signed on June 6, 1952, the Governor said in his message. It is a day of unity, reflection, and cultural pride, honoring the commitment to peace and the transformation of societal values.
